Calcium

Calcium

In marine aquariums calcium is required by corals, mussels, snails and coralline red algae for growth, among other things. The calcium content in natural marine water is around 420 mg/l. Aim to maintain a constant calcium content of approx. 400 mg/l in your marine aquarium. The consumption of calcium in a marine aquarium needs to be offset by regular additions of appropriate preparations.
