DR. BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD UMAMI
with the extra touch of umami flavor
The special appeal of natural umami flavors leaves you wanting more.
In 1907, Japanese professor Kikunae Ikeda discovered umami, the fifth basic taste, in addition to the previously known tastes of sweet, salty, bitter, and sour. The term “umami” is best translated as “savory” or “deliciously savory.” It refers to a rich, full-bodied flavor that triggers a pleasantly long-lasting, appetite-stimulating, sensual sensation on the tongue.
Interestingly, fish also respond to the umami flavor. They immediately recognize food that contains high levels of umami. Even fish suffering from a loss of appetite quickly develop a taste for it and regain their natural appetite.
DR. BASSLEER BIOFISH FOOD ACAI is offered in the different granulate sizes M, L, XL and XXL. The granulates in smaller pellet size M sink slowly, thus providing nutrients to all three water zones. This gives surface feeders, fish in the middle zone as well as bottom feeders alike a fresh and balanced diet.
